About Us
 The establishment of the Department of Archaeology within the Faculty of Literature of Karabük University dates back to 2010. The department started to admit students in 2011-2012 academic year and has more than 213 undergraduate students. In addition to the first education, the Department of Classical Archaeology conducts a Master's program with a quota of 25 students within the scope of the Department of Classical Archaeology.  
 
   The Department of Archaeology continues its education and training activities in the Departments of Classical Archaeology, Prehistory, Protohistory and Prehistoric Archaeology. Our program provides education mainly in the Department of Classical Archaeology. Department of Archaeology; 1 Prof. Dr., 2 Assoc. Dr., 2 Dr. Lecturer. Prof. Dr., 2 Assoc. Prof. Dr., 2 Dr. Lecturer, 1 Lecturer and 1 Research Assistant; It continues its education with a quota of 35 students every year. There are 2 Ancient City Excavations and 1 Surface Research within the Archaeology Department of Karabük University Faculty of Letters with the decision of the Council of Ministers.

                                   Pompeiopolis City Excavation

   Surface Survey:  Karabuk Province and Districts Survey

   Graduated students are employed in various public and private business lines as academicians in Higher Education Institutions, Archaeologists in museums and ruins affiliated to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, archaeologists in private museums, archaeologists in private museums, archaeologists in Cultural Heritage Conservation Boards, consultant archaeologists in restoration and conservation laboratories and private companies, archaeologists in archaeological excavations and researches. In addition, they are employed as expert personnel in the archaeology branch in ancient city excavations supported by the Ministry of Culture within the scope of the "excavations to continue throughout the year" project.
