Karabuk University Faculty of Literature hosted a presentation titled ‘The Birth of Modern Art’ this week within the scope of the Social Activity Day organised every Wednesday. The guest of the event was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bülent Oral, Faculty of Letters, Department of Art History.
In the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Oral offered new perspectives to the audience with his presentation on the historical development and social effects of modern art. In the presentation, the social and cultural dynamics that led to the birth of modern art, the artists of the period and the roles of movements in the process were evaluated in detail.
During the Q&A session in the second part of the programme, the participants had the opportunity to ask their questions to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Oral. The event was met with great interest of the participants and enriched with fruitful discussions.
The event ended with a message of thanks to the participants and the wish to come together again at the next Social Activity Day.
Following the presentation, Prof. Dr. Muhittin Kapanşahin, Dean of the Faculty of Letters, presented a certificate of appreciation to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bülent Oral for his contributions.
