Exam Rules and Regulations

EXAM RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Students must be present in the exam hall with their student IDs and identity cards/IDs/passports at least 10 minutes before the exam start time specified in the exam schedules announced on the websites of their units or departments. Student IDs will be checked during the exams, and students whose information is incorrect or do not have their IDs with them will not be allowed to take the exam.
2. Students must follow the announcements about the exam schedules on the unit/department websites.
3. Students must take the exam in the exam halls stated in the announcements and will not be allowed to take the exam in a different exam hall.
4. Students must keep their student ID card or student certificate on their desk during the exam.
5. Students will be allowed in the exam hall up to 10 minutes after the exam start time. Students arriving after the first 10 minutes will not be allowed into the hall.
6. Even if students complete their exams early, they cannot leave the hall within the first 15 minutes of the exam.
7. Students are obliged to comply with all instructions and warnings of the invigilators regarding the exam routine throughout the exam period. Invigilators may change students' seats. Students who leave the exam hall, for whatever reason, will not be able to enter the exam hall again until the end time of the exam.
8. Students must turn their mobile phones off before entering the exam hall. Nothing other than ID can be kept on the desks during the exam.
9. Students cannot keep their mobile phones and/or smart watches on themselves or in desks. The studenst whose mobile phone and/or smart watch is found on themselves or anywhere around the desk will be reported.
10. Students taking the exam will not leave the exam hall without signing the attendance sheet. The exam of the student whose signature is not on the exam attendance sheet will be deemed invalid.
11. In exams to be held with an optical answer sheet, the answer sheet must be filled out with pencil. Students must write down all the information requested in the form and mark all the boxes in the relevant parts of the answer sheet. If you do not mark the boxes on your answer sheet or if you mark them incorrectly, your exam will be considered invalid. Responsibility for filling out the answer sheet belongs entirely to the student. International students must write only their first name and first surname. All responsibility for preventing damage to the optical forms belongs to the student.
12. In multiple choice exams, the answers must be marked on the optical answer sheet within the exam period; the answers marked on the question sheet are not valid. No additional time will be given for marking the answers on the answer sheet.
13. Students must have the necessary exam materials such as pencils, erasers, etc. with them.
14. Students cannot leave the exam hall without submitting their exam papers and signing the exam attendance list, otherwise their exams will be deemed invalid. Students are not allowed to take the question/answer sheet out of the  exam hall.
15. Students who have completed the exam are prohibited from waiting in the corridor, entering other exam halls, and talking or signaling with students who are still taking the exam. Disciplinary procedure will be initiated in accordance with the Higher Education Institutions Student Disciplinary Regulations for students who behave in a manner that may disrupt the exam after leaving the exam hall. 16. Students are prohibited from looking at each other's papers, talking to those around them, or showing their papers during the exam. If a student cheats during the exam, attempts to cheat, helps somesone else cheat, or is found to have cheated after the examination, their exam paper will not be evaluated, they will automatically receive a failing grade (0), and they will be subject to disciplinary procedure. 17. In accordance with the Higher Education Institutions Student Disciplinary Regulations, there will be disciplinary procedures against students who attend the exam for another person or who make another person take the exam on their behalf.
18. The identity information of those who act against the rules and do not comply with the warnings will be put in the exam reports and their exams will be deemed invalid.
19. Students may object to the questions and the exam results, they may request that their exam sheets be reviewed and re-evaluated. The objections made by students who did not take the exam, who were not admitted to the exam, or whose exam was deemed invalid, who did not follow the relevant procedure and the time frame, will not be taken into consideration. Students must object to their exam results in the manner and within the period specified in Article 25 of Karabük University Associate Degree, Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations. (The objections/re-evaluation requests are to be directed to the department in writing within 3 work days once the exam results are announced via OBS.)
20. Taking photographs or videos of all or part of the exam questions with any video recording device, or copying, reproducing, publishing the exam questions or using them in any way, is forbidden. Necessary legal action, as well as disciplinary investigations, will be initiated against students who are found to have violated the rules.
