Our Departments

Our department was established in 2011. The department started admitting students in 2013-2014 and currently has approximately 250 students. The Department of Philosophy has a staff of 1 professor, 3 doctoral faculty members and 2 research assistants. Undergraduate students are given courses on History of Philosophy, Systematic Philosophy and Logic, History of Turkish-Islamic Thought and History of Science.

SOCIOLOGY

The Sociology Department was established in 2009 as a part of Faculty of Literature. The department has started education since the academic year 2010-2011. Students who have the right to study in the Department of Sociology will study 8 semester.

WESTERN LANGUAGES AND LITERATURES

English language has been a standard means of communication across the world for some time, and it seems that it will continue to be in the recent future unless there is a radical shift and development as to its use. As a language of communication, English has gained international prominence, which may be explained in several ways.

TURKISH LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE

The Department of Turkish language and literature started its education with 41 students in the 2009-2010 academic year. As of 2019 - 2020, approximately 750 students are teaching in our department and there is a master's degree program in our department.

GEOGRAPHY

The Geography Department was established in 2009 as a part of Faculty of Literature. The department, has started education since the academic year 2010-2011. In our department 7 Prof. Dr., 5 Associate Prof. Dr., 3 Assistant Prof. Dr. and 1 Research assistant are employed and number of academic staff is rapidly rising. Students who have the right to study in the Faculty of Geography will study 8 semester.

PYSCHOLOGY

The Department of Psychology was established in 2009. There are 5 PhD Faculty Members and 5 Research Assistants actively working in our department. Necessary preparations are underway for our department to start admitting students in the Fall Semester of the 2023-2024 Academic Year.

ART HISTORY

Our Department of History of Art started its education life with 36 students in the 2009-2010 academic year and currently has a second education undergraduate programme and graduate education master's and doctoral programmes, except for four active classes in the first education of formal education.

HISTORY

History Department, which began training during 2009-2010 academic year with 40 students, offers Undergraduate, Graduate and Distance Learning Programs. Currently there are 2 Professor, 6 Assistant Professor and 4 Research Assistants working for our department and the number of academic staff is increasing rapidly.

EDUCATIONAL SCIENCES

The Department of Educational Sciences was established in the 2010-2011 academic year in order to conduct teaching profession courses for students who want to teach in all departments of the university and for university graduates who want to get a teaching certificate and to cooperate with various institutions on education-related issues.

ARCHAEOLOGY

Archeology is the study of human activity through the recovery and analysis of material culture. The word, archeology, is a compound term from two Greek words, archaios meaning ancient or old and logia which means learning or studying. Archeolgy inholds so many different branches of sciences.
